Today I thought I'd try that trend going on called mixing prints. And mine's pretty subtle since its my first time dabbling with this look. But I like how these two prints went together. Two big trends at once! Cheetah print and florals.

I was so excited about these boots. They're everything I've been looking for in a pair of fall boots! No heel. Buckles. Brown. Zip-up access (no squeezing foot and wiggling it awkwardly into the freaking shoe).
So yes, I'd consider these perfect.
And I only paid a whopping $5 for them. :)
I love thrift store browsing!
So a couple nights ago Kirsten and I went to watch Rootdown play at the local college.
And they rocked our world!
Haha, truth is I stumbled across the flyers advertising this band, and being the curious girl that I am, I looked up their songs and caught myself singing along and bobbing my head to the beat.
They were even better live.
For one thing, I hadn't really noticed in the poster, but their guitar player Matt? He's a dead ringer for Ashton Kutcher.
And even better, his guitar solos are AMAZING!
The guys are hilarious and are really sweet. Plus, they're super talented. They kept us jumping to the upbeat songs and asked us to sing along. There was a dance off where they had people in the audience go up and shake it to win a free CD, they did a freestyle song (their singer has amazing rap skills btw), and told us about Burrito Boy (Mexican restaurant) before they went into one of their "just-for-fun" songs labled Mexican Food.
All in all, a fun night! And I discovered a new fave band. :)
Hope you're having an awesome weekend♥
