Maroon Love + Happy Halloween!

Seriously, how awesome are these pants?

Outfit Details:   Top: Rue21   Jacket: Xhilaration   Necklace: Forever 21   Pants: Style&Co   Boots: Fioni   Sunglasses: Laura Biagiotti (garage sale score!)

Dangling my feet off in air seems to be my favorite pose lately. Ironic considering how I have a fear of heights...

That leather jacket was too hot to wear!

Had a lot of fun hiking up to the top of this trail. Although don't worry, I wasn't completely impractical. I brought a different pair of shoes to climb in. Hehe, aren't I clever?
Photography really can be a fun thing to play around with. I love how these sophisticated looking boots contrasted with my rugged terrain. Makes it seem more...dramatic?
I felt like Beyonce with these sunglasses. I paid 10 cents for these at a garage sale and when I googled the name brand stamped on the inside, I nearly choked. These brand of sunglasses are worth over $100!
I love garage saling!
These were taken over the weekend, so I don't have a Halloween post sadly...maybe next time. But to everyone else celebrating, have fun and be safe!

Basketball practices are starting up regularly now, so I may start slacking in posts. But I'll do my best to try and post regularly.

Renegade

I like using titles of songs, what can I say?
Although what I have to share with you is as far from Daughtry as it can get!
Look up this guy playing his guitar. He is AMAZING. He uses a loop pedal to make it sound like a whole band is playing when in reality it's only him and his guitar.
I am inspired to learn to play like that! I know it might not happen, but I aim to get pretty darn close.

Outfit Details:   Top: Vanity   Scarf: Philippines bazaar   Jacket: (thrifted) Debs   Purse: thrifted   Jeans: Love Notes   Boots:gift   Owl ring: Philippines

I thought I'd be ironic and wear my bird ring on my middle finger ;)

Isn't this park beautiful? I had so much fun on that bridge. Although dangling on the edge was kind of scary!
I felt like such a punk in this outfit. Haha, something about skinny jeans and tough boots. I never thought I'd do the denim on denim trend, but I don't think this really counts...haha not when they're two completely different shades!

Ladylike Chic

First comment I got on my outfit today:
"Wow, Linda, don't you look fancy today!"
Later on another classmate said I could walk down the runway wearing this. Haha, I felt pleased yet flustered. Perhaps this look is a little dressy for a school day, but when I put it on...I just couldn't take it off.

I absolutely adore this building. Something about brick and the entire layout for it is appealing. Its both a restaurant and an art building. How perfect is that!? I have yet to eat here (it's rather expensive), but I'm sure it's delicious. The only reason I was able to take some shots here was because I got there around 8:15 in the morning before I went to school.

Well, tomorrow I have no school (it's parent-teacher meeting day), so I am looking forward to sleeping in! I'll probably still do an outfit post though. I'm going to put in some community service hours tomorrow. Don't want to get behind again! That was bad...

Almost the weekend :)

Halloween Hues

Outfit Details:   Top: Accentz (thrifted)   Necklace: Forever 21   Skirt: Style & Co   Tights: Forever 21   Boots: gift

So I found this little corn field on the corner of a street we pass by all the time and thought 'Wow, that'd be the perfect backdrop for this outfit!'
I felt quite Halloween-ish in this outfit. Ha, I think it's the orange top.
Also, anyone else think these tights are amazing?? I was so excited with them. Forever 21 has the best stuff!
And I know, I wore this necklace two days ago, but really, who cares about repeating the same accessories? Maybe I'll make this my signature piece.
Halloween is coming up! I may not go trick-or-treating, but at least I can go buy myself some candy corn and other treats to hand out without feeling too guilty ;)

Watercolor Dream

This has got to be my new thrifted favorite.
It's apostrophe brand, and it's practically new! For only $1.75 my friends.
One day, when I have a job, maybe I'll actually buy more of my clothes new...
The colors in it are black, white, and a bold blue. But with a purple tank underneath and a purple cardigan, it took on a lavender-ish hue. How pretty!

Outfit Details:   Top: (thrifted) apostrophe   Cardigan: Philippines bazaar   Jeans: 7 Jeans   Flats: American Eagle   Necklace: Debs

I can't seem to pin down the exact label on what my style is yet...
Then again, I'm pretty young, so I've got some time to establish it.
Right now it's a mix between edgy bohemian with some preppy thrown in. Quite a mix, huh? Haha, judging from the posts you've seen, what would you call it? I'm curious to hear what other people think.

Fashion Is My Art

The title of this post expresses exactly how I view fashion.
Of course, its also enjoyable dressing well and being stylish. But to me, putting together prints, trying new things that work, and creating something different from what others are wearing, is an art. It is an expression of creativity.

Look at my candy corn nails! :D I'm so happy with them. A classmate today told me "Your nails make me want to nibble on them." Haha, that made me laugh. Guess they turned out pretty good. Here's the link on how to do them: http://thebeautydepartment.com/2011/10/sweet-mani/

Next week is Halloween everyone! :D

Flash of Fall

Outfit Details:   Trench: thrifted   Button-Down: Macy   Tank: Covington   Skirt: Old Navy   Tights: Walmart   Boots: my mom's

I seem to be mentioning the weather a lot lately, haven't I?
I just can't help it! I love this weather. It's been perfect, staying warm in the day, and getting chilly at night.
The only hard part about it is the raking...because I have to do it. And we live on a 2 1/2 acre yard...
But then after I can lay in the leaves and stare up at the sky and trees. :) So that's always worth it. Plus I always get a giddy feeling when there's a LOT of leaves and I know it's going to be a huge pile when I'm done!

I just love my Prince :) And he loves me!

I thought this almost looks like it could go on the cover of a book! It turned out surprisingly well, now all they'd have to do is photoshop my earphones out ;)
Hope you're having lovely weather wherever you are too!

Military Chic

So today I had Kirsten over for some much needed twin time!
(We call each other twin, just so you know).
We also had a little photo shoot going on, which is always fun. Check them out!
Outfit Details:   Top: Julie's Closet   Hoodie: Bassett-Walker   Jeans: Love Notes   Boots: (thrifted) Roxy

Outfit Details:   Top: thrifted   Jeans: Debs   Boots: (thrifted) HotKiss

Haha, aren't we just awesome?
Playing in the leaves will never get old!
I love my camo hoodie, since its comfy, warm, and does its job of camouflaging -my unfortunately placed curves, that is.
Here's to our comfy clothes that still manage to look good and make us feel less frumpy.
