Roadtrip Collage!

Boy, sorry for not posting much! It was difficult getting anything up while we were on the road, then once I got back I had to catch up in school work and prepare for our basketball game.
One thing right after another. I cannot wait for Christmas break already!

So here's some outfit snippets from the Thanksgiving trip I took:

Outfit Details:   Kimono: Rue21   Shirt: Mossimo   Pants: (thrifted) Style&Co   Boots: Mudd   Sunglasses: vintage

Family picture!

Aren't they just adorable? :)

Couldn't resist all the teal-ness that was present ;)

Reflection! I thought it'd be a cool idea. Hotel bathrooms have so many mirrors!

Past meets present! Haha

I know, it's a crazy barrage of pictures!
We have a family thing where we drive vintage go-karts, since my dad's really into it. He had one as a kid and when he found out other old guys like him were still driving them, he immediately got more info and joined the club.
So now we go to go-kart meets and race around. Mostly him, but occasionally I'll hop in the driver's seat too!
Since we were only gone for 5 days, I packed recyclable outfits. Jeggings are an absolute must for roadtrips!
Well, hopefully I'll be able to go back to regular blogging. Although we have 2 more games this week so probably not until the weekend. Ah well.

Hope you're all recovering from Thanksgiving leftovers and settling back into work!

Untraditional Thanksgiving

So in case you didn't know, my family and I traveled for the holidays, and no, we're not staying with family.
It's just us after all.
However, I wouldn't have it any other way. There were times before that I wished we could have a more traditional way to spend holidays, but I've realized it doesn't matter where you spend it.
It's who you spend it with.
And I happen to be able to spend it with the best two people in the world.
My parents. :)
They have taught me so much, and I won't gush too much about them, but let's just say that they truly are a blessing, and I don't know what (or who!) I'd be without them.

Since I don't have a computer to transfer my pictures onto (just the hotel lobby's business one), I can't truly update this blog with my own pictures, but I figured I'd just upload a collage of photos I've found on the internet that are an inspiration to me.

Something about bright green is super appealing to me. Especially the way these two ladies styled theirs! Orange and green...I'm going to have to keep that color combo in mind...

Right now my closet is seriously lacking some pleather. And I'm dying to get a pair or two! Especially if I find pleather shorts like these.

Tights are an absolute must for me! Especially with winter arriving. I just can't bear to part from my skirts and dresses. Oh, and happy news: I found a polka dot pair and maroon colored ones today ;) You'll be seeing them soon.

I've been drooling over leopard print anything. But especially wedged boots! These style of ankle boots are my absolute favorite. Ah well, perhaps for Christmas.

Another shoe I've noticed is the classic oxford. However, I'm afraid to try this shoe because...well, my calves are quite muscular and I have a feeling these would not flatter them...but! If I find a well priced, cute pair at a thrift store, I just might try them.

So I might have a shoe fetish...haha, but these are another pair that I absolutely adore! I have a thing for boots. Especially when they're all roughed up and you can lace them up. Perfect for winter!

Just as Tonya, from The Moptop, demonstrates. I love how she styled hers.

And of course, an over sized knit sweater that falls off the shoulder is perfect.

So I suppose I should change the title to "Christmas Wish List", huh?

Haha, hope you all had a Thanksgiving! And remember to be thankful for what you DO have ;)

Peachy Keen

Outfit Details:   Cardigan: Old Navy   Blouse: Vanity   Skirt: thrifted:   Ring: Claires   Boots: Roxy

Just a quick outfit post. I'm about to zip out of here and head over to our basketball game tonight. Tomorrow we leave, so I won't have time to post, so probably be off and on for about a week.

Wearing my chunky leggings and stayed warm today. I found this scarf in the Philippines, and I love the print on it!

Hope you all have a great Thanksgiving weekend!

Late Pumpkin Zest

Outfit Details:   Button down: (thrifted) Accentz   Scarf: mom's   Jacket: Debs   Skirt: vintage   Boots: Payless   Earrings: Philippines

Boy, sorry for the late posts! I'm busy with basketball games and homework lately. It's tough just getting on here to try and post.

Anyway, today I went with a fall themed outfit. I love this orange button down! One of my better thrifted finds. A jean jacket always manages to tie together my skirt looks too. Lately I've been searching for more knee socks to add to my drawers! It's a perfect way to stay warm and still wear skirts in the winter.

So guess what? I'm finally licensed! :D
I went and picked up my temporary one today. Soon I'll have the real one mailed to me. Can't wait!

Hope you'll all have a wonderful Thanksgiving break.

Feminine Punk

Apparently I couldn't decide if I wanted to look edgy or classic. Good things these two styles go together so well!

Outfit Details:   Tshirt: Target (gift)   Jacket: xhilaration   Vest: Aeropostale (DIY)   Skirt: vintage   Boots: mom's

I love the tribal heart on this tee. Kirsten had actually bought it but thought it suited me better so she gave it to me. Love how we're the same size! Haha, and as for these boots...I'm not sure if they're more oxford-boots than anything. Not entirely certain what style they are!

I felt daring wearing bright red lipstick. It looks more pink in the picture, but trust me, it's a vivid red. Whatever, I love how it made me feel like an 80's rock girl. Especially with the denim vest!
So last night my family and I watched Only You which I thought would be corny, which I suppose it is actually, but I ended up loving it! I ordered a copy of Amazon already. It's a guilty pleasure. Robert Downey Jr. is so cute. Also, my inner fashionista kept noticing the fabulous details in the girls' outfits. Leather skirts, high slit red evening dresses, and one gorgeous cut-out dress that Marisa Tomei totally rocked!

Sorry for not posting the past two days. These pictures are actually from Wednesday, but I haven't had time since then to put them up.

Hope you're having a great weekend!

Flower Child

It was definitely a bohemian day for me. The winter version, that is!

Outfit Details:   Kimono: Rue21   Jacket: Debs   Dress: vintage   Blouse: Sears   Boots: gift   Beanie: American Eagle   Necklace: American Eagle

I absolutely love this dress. When I picked it up at a garage sale I wasn't too certain about it, but I'd seen a lot of bloggers wearing long dresses and skirts and I thought I could pull it off.
Guess I could. Haha, the length is perfect for winter too!
This floral kimono is a fave pick from Rue 21 as well. That store actually carries some great finds if you search long enough.

So...

WE WON OUR BASKETBALL GAME LAST NIGHT!!
Quite handily too, if I do say so myself.
46-25
;)
Ohhhh yes!
Haha, it was an exciting game too since we were down by 5 points in the first half, but we came out and outscored them big time in the second. We always have been a backwards team. Most have their best quarter in the first half. Ours is always the second.
Just call us the comeback kids!

We had a good crowd come out to support us too, so that was great. Kept the energy in the gym up! Nothing like hearing the crowd roar when you score.
