There's something about a floppy hat. I don't know about you, but I just love the hint of glamor it adds to any look. Makes me feel like I'm a mystery girl or something. Haha! I can just imagine walking down the city street in this and people going "Who is that girl?"

So when I saw that the floppy hats at JcPenney dropped to $3, I immediately snatched up this black version.
The weather here has been going crazy transitioning into spring. See the post below how warm and summery it looks? Yeah, this was the very next day. Billowy and rainy! So the second the sprinkles stopped, I grabbed mom and raced outside to take some quick photos for you. Almost lost my hat during these photos too!
This silk white tank is something I recently thrifted, since I've realized how much I am lacking in necessary basics. I would usually skip over simple tops and bottoms because I thought they were boring. However, I've learned my lesson. With those "boring" basics, you can remix them with the more exciting pieces in your wardrobe to create a chic look! Although in my opinion, the silk texture of the tank makes it more interesting in my opinion.
What are some of your favorite basics?
