Haha, I was struggling. It was sunny and would've been a beautiful, balmy day but the wind couldn't be held at bay for some nice outfit shots. So in all of these I had to cross my fingers and hope the camera went off before another gust of wind wrecked my hair.

This skirt is a brand new one, and I absolutely love it! Body con skirts are so comfy and flattering! I wasn't too sure what I could wear it with to be honest, but the soft orange and pink stripes won me over. Its so perfect for the warming weather too.
The tulips are blooming in our yard! Which is really exciting. I'm looking forward to the fruit we'll be harvesting from our little garden too. Last year our trees were weighed down with so many peaches, apples, and cherries! I'm hoping we'll get that many again. Because my mom makes the absolute best apple butter...mmmm, it's so good!
So I bought this skirt with Saffron last weekend on a girl's day, therapy shopping spree. Well, mainly she went on the spree, I was just there for support and to give my opinion. Haha, but I did end up getting a couple items, one of which is currently under DIY work. I'll be showing it off soon hopefully ;)
You know how girl's can sometimes get caught up in stupid love games and go back and forth and change their minds about a dozen times? And then they finally go through the process of untangling that emotional web?
Well, Saffron is in that last stage, and in my opinion, nothing helps you sort through the confusion like a girl friend and some time at the mall!
However, there is a lesson learned from that night.
She'd left her headlights on and forgot about them, and by the time we came out to the parking lot the car wouldn't start.
So guess who she had to call for help?
The one boy who sent her into that emotional tailspin to begin with, seeing as how he's the only person she knew who was nearby with jumper cables.
Yeah, talk about slowing the progression that the shopping therapy had done!
Anyway, the moral of the lesson?
NEVER forget to turn off your headlights when you've parked!
Oh, and carry jumper cables.

I love your skirt, when I went shopping there were Body con skirts in pink and orange but didn't think I could pull them off but you totally did! Awww you look so feminine in this outfit and so ready for spring! Love the skirt on you! That totally sucks when you want to feel independant and like you don't need that person to be happy......and then you need that person for something. Ugh, how frustrating.

Everytime it's windy, I always think "Oooh! The photos are going to turn out so cool!" until I actually take them and the wind always manages to blow my hair in the most unflattering way possible and the whole shoot turns out to be a big fail :( But you look lovely! The tulips in your yard look SO pretty. And I've actually never heard of apple butter until I read your post.. it sounds super delicious though, I'm going to have to google it right now!
