Pastels and Cut Out Dresses

Outfit Details:   Dress: c/o Stylezi   Blouse: vintage   Heels: c/o Style Recognized   Purse: PacSun

Ever feel like you drop the ball? Lately I've been on a roll being irresponsible...little things start piling up. Such as forgetting to feed the dog (poor Prince!), leaving the garage door open on accident, and then being chronically late this entire last week.

Ugh, anyway, this light, pretty dress from Stylezi helped cheer me up and I was all too excited to play on the pastel trend by mixing in my soft, mint green blouse. Its funny because I found this shirt in the night gown section, so it was originally for sleeping in. But all I saw was the pretty shade of green and knew I'd be wearing it during the day!

This dress is on the short side (again, what can I say...Koreans are just built smaller!), but I think it'll work perfectly for summer. Besides, it's always an option to belt a skirt over it to lengthen the hem. And the cut-out back is just amazing. I love the tie included above it. What's nice is how they balanced out the sexy back with a modest front. The neckline is above my collar bone! Haha

Necklace: diy + antique

All I can say about the photo above: "Why wind? Why?"
Its spring, and the weather has gone postal on us. Hopefully it'll be warm tomorrow...I'm sick of the wind!

Here's to the new week, and hopefully a better one!

Orange Suede Heels

Outfit Details:   Heels: c/o MyHotShoes   Tank: JcPenney   Cardigan: (thrifted) Old Navy   Jeans: Target   Bag: vintage

Okay, I am in love with these new orange heels from MyHotShoes! They're bright, punch up so many outfits, and give my legs (and butt!) a boost. Haha, they're about the same height as my Litas.

I feel really stable walking in them too, which is the most important part. The platform and thick heel are very supportive. So to play on the colorfulness of these heels, I mixed in my lemon colored tank and neutrals. Almost titled this post Citrus Punch!

In case you can't tell, the wind wasn't cooperating with me. So in the end, I thought "screw it" and just let it do what the hell it wanted with my hair. Good thing I didn't spend any time styling it this morning!

Tonight was my school's spring play, and I've normally been involved in each one. But this year, I made a tough decision and didn't join. However, of course I still showed up to support my past cast-mates! They did a fantastic job portraying The Old Faith, Hope, and Charity play. Had the crowd laughing over quite a few parts too. I found I was able to enjoy the play more since I hadn't spent months working on it this time. Haha, and although I feel a little regret over not doing it this year, I still enjoyed watching! My teacher had tapped me on the back and told me how odd it was not to see me on stage.
Ah well, I think I may just get involved in college plays if I feel inspired to.

Hehe, major hair flip!

I had some fun experimenting with new poses haha, and I personally think the one above is an absolute fail. However, it made me giggle, so I thought it could do the same for you. My new favorite theme for this blog is that fashion should be fun! And doing personal outfit posts about fashion should be injected with some fun.

Bracelet & Watch: Philippines

Oh, so what do you think of the blogs new layout? I know, I switch it up more than I should, but I think I'll stick with this one for quite some time. I finally decided I didn't want my background competing with my outfit pictures and made it a blank canvas.

Tell me what you think.
Oh, and happy weekend!

Snowing Petals

Outfit Details:   Blouse: vintage   Tank: vintage   Shorts: PacSun   Heels: c/o Style Recognized   Fedora: PacSun

I've been wanting to take photos in our front yard ever since this tree started blooming and the petals began coating the grass. Finally I rounded up mom and she helped me out.

Ring: Philippines   Necklace: Vanity

It's funny because she'd called dad earlier in the day and told him "You won't believe it! I looked out the window and I thought it was snowing, but it was just the petals from the tree being blown around."

Haha, they really do look so romantic and beautiful in the morning. When the soft glow of the rising sun hits it, I almost feel like I'm living in a movie set.

I've been waiting for a long time to bust out these yellow shorts again. I got them on clearance last summer at PacSun for $4! Now I'm looking to add to it and find some more colorful pairs. And I'm thinking purple, orange, hot pink...

So for a summer trip, I'm begging my parents for a trip to the coast! I'm playing on the whole "It could be my graduation gift" card, so hopefully it works. Haha, I'm dying for some California sun and salty Pacific water! When we lived there before, we'd go to the beach every single summer, but since moving out here, I've been trapped by the mountains. Which, don't get me wrong, are amazing for snowboarding in the winter, but in the summer? Nothing beats the west coast!

Crossing my fingers.
For now though, I'm enjoying the few days left of my senior year. About 3 more weeks and then I'm done! Such a scary/exciting thought.

Home on the Range

Outfit Details:   Blouse: Rue 21   Skirt: thrifted   Sandals: Forever 21   Hat: JcPenney
Okay, so I finally gave my Litas a rest, only because I'm scared of staining them. Aha, high school may not be the most practical place to wear them. Instead, I decided to style this skirt with some sandals and a wide-brim hat.

Necklace: c/o Wholesale-Dress
This is the necklace I received from Wholesale-Dress, and I'm loving it. The bird and turquoise stone are so pretty. Reminds me of something I'd pick out from PacSun.

These photos were taken yesterday after school. I met up with Kirsten and we went back to the abandoned fair grounds to explore some more. This time, we went to the barnyard area. It smells so much better with the poop all cleaned out. Haha, all that was left was the sweet scent of hay and a faint, lingering animal smell.

This skirt is something I thrifted last summer, and I only just now wore it to school! Haha, the warm tones and rusty hues in it reminds me of a Nevada desert. Which is why I like to call it my desert skirt. I feel like such an Indian just wearing this!

After we took photos and spent some time hanging out, I left to go back to my school for the Hitting Night. Its this open gym event every week where you go and play/practice volleyball for fun. Its more laid back since it's not just for volleyball players, but for anyone who wants to give it a try. Jesse and I had a blast challenging ourselves again. Haha, oh man, it's been a while since I worked on my hits! It felt so good though to play again. I'm planning on going again next week.

Ring: c/o Wholesale-Dress

This is a bunny we found in one of the stables. Poor guy was just frozen and bug-eyed as we peered in at him. Haha, he was so cute though!
I named him Thumper.

Glowing

Oh man, so before I put on this outfit, I spent 4 hours with my classmates working on our car wash to raise money for our Senior trip.
Wow, I am so tired! My arms felt like they were ready to fall off and my stomach was going to eat itself. But don't worry, afterwards, I went to a frozen yogurt place. So I survived.

While we were out there shaking signs and scrubbing away, everyone started getting burned. However, my friend Rueben started asking me if I even burn. Because while he was red in the face and arms, I was turning a toasty brown. Haha, I always tan first before I burn, and it takes forever for me to get a nice tan. But now, I've actually got a decent glow! Yay! Now my legs won't be so scarily white.

Anyway, when I came home I found a little package on my porch (I gotta say, I could get use to this), and to my delight, it was from Wholesale-Dress.net! I wasn't sure they'd come through to be honest. But after ripping it open, I was thrilled to find the dress I'd wanted from them in there. Plus, a ring, bag, and necklace!
How exciting!!

So here's some pictures showing off the dress, bag, and ring. I'll include the necklace in another outfit. The ring is a new favorite statement of mine, because although it's a cheap replica of the original YSL Arsty Ring, I still love the look of it.
And of course, I had to wear my Litas with this. Haha, I have to wear my Litas with everything now! I can hardly bear to take them off my feet. And honestly, who can say that they barely realize they're wearing 5" heels? These have got to be my comfiest and most stunning shoes I own!

Hemlines are rising, just like the temperature! Although this dress is pushing it...I'm thinking I may wear shorts with it and tuck it in next time I wear it...

Ring: c/o Wholesale Dress

Haha, I'm pretty excited for the summer weather and freedom that comes this time of year. Its bittersweet because I'll be leaving behind people I've come to love and our chance to make more memories together will also come to a close. But at the same time, I'm looking forward to the future and all the new memories to make!

In Love With Litas!

Litas: c/o Style Recognized
I cannot begin to describe the surreal feeling that came over me when I found out I'd been one of the winners from the Style Recognized giveaway. I've had to wait for these babies to arrive since they were sold out, but Su didn't fail, and she got them out to me sooner than I actually thought they'd be here!

So first off, go read Su's story here.
Seriously, I know it's a wordy post, but it's worth the read. She's amazing and so inspiring. The reason why she does such generous giveaways? Its because she has a generous heart!
Isn't it amazing how certain events can just change a person's entire view on life? I hope to one day experience something like what she did. A life-changing moment is unforgettable!

Now...prepare for a barrage of photos...I got a little excited about showing off my gorgeous new Litas!
I can say I officially own a pair of Jeffrey Campbell shoes. Its been my dream! :D
For these photos, me and Kirsten explored at the local fair grounds and to our delight, found it utterly abandoned and open for our investigation. I had a fun time feeling like that entire stadium was mine! Haha

Outfit Details:   Shirt: Vanity   Skirt: Rue 21   Bag: Rue 21

Now when I started researching these heels, I read the reviews and didn't fully believe it when some said they could run in them. I mean, come on! It's almost a 6" heel!

But ladies...they were right. I tested the theory myself.
Oh, and of course, did a little spazzy jump in them. Didn't roll an ankle or even fear about tipping over. They're that stable and well-made.

So to bribe Kirsten into joining in on the modeling fun, I loaned her one of my favorite tribal tees. This fun little fringed number! Its one of my faves, but funnily enough, I haven't worn it yet for the blog.
So I had K model it for me, and I must say, she looks smashing in it. :)

Then we found a tree stump and balanced the camera on it so we could take a few together!
It was quite humorous because of the height difference. Haha, normally we're about the same, but my Litas boosted me past her.

Which is ironic, because look at a photo we took together last year:

Haha, heels are a girl's best friend!

Once again, thank you Style Recognized for my marvelous gift. I will treasure them and will never fail to be inspired by your generosity!
