Well, its Valentines Day, and this single girl will be working till close today. 

I know, I know, how tragic. How forever alone can you get?

But you know what, it's okay. I'm making my money, and I'm going to see Safe Haven with a gal pal tomorrow. Life is good.

Still, I wanted to put together a Valentines Day outfit for the blog to show what I would be wearing if I had the day off. However, I'm just not a romantic at heart. I attempted to make an outfit with pink or red in it, but I didn't feel like myself in anything I tried! So instead, I decided to go for a more subtle, neutral look. Note: floral jeans + heart necklace = romantic. Right? Haha, and then spiked wedges are a no-brainer, of course.

Maybe this is why I'm single...

Ah well, I like my spikes, what can I say? And these gorgeous wedges from MyHotShoes do the trick! They're not your ho-hum, safe little studs either. These are legit spikes! I accidentally scratched myself while hurriedly trying to take them off - let's just say, lesson learned. I chose the tan colored ones, but you should check out how this girl wore her black version. 

Now I may be dense when it comes to boys...but not so dense I couldn't see this coming.
We were sitting in the sub where we'd ran into each other, and there had been a lull in our conversation. He was looking intently at me, and I asked what was up.

"So...do you have a cell phone?" he asked shyly.
"Yes...I do..." I trailed off, letting him finish the question he really wanted to ask.
"Well...would it be okay if I got your number? Maybe I can text you after class or when you get off work sometime."
I sat quietly for a moment, digesting that statement. I felt strange and tingly all over. Finally, I smiled at him.
"Yeah, I'd like that."
You should've seen the way his face lit up. "Cool! Maybe I can take you out sometime. Just for fun, ya know," he added quickly.
Haha, oh man, I couldn't wipe the ridiculous grin off my face! We'll see how this possible date goes. I'm really intrigued to know this guy better, and like I told a friend, only one way to do that, right?
